Major(s): Political Science, History Minors(s): Leadership Studies Hometown: Kirkland Washington Year:Junior Past Position(s): Recruitment Chairman, External Vice President Non-Greek Activities: Pioneer Leadership Program and DU Republicans Favorite Part about ZBT: The Iota chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity consistently offeres me awesome activities almost every single day. Not only am I able to go to Rockies games, go to a brewery, go laser-tagging, play poker, play basketball, win football intramural championships, go to Moab or go skiing with all of my brothers, I also get to spend a weekend up at the five star resort Beaver Creek Lodge for our formal. Formal is without a doubt my favorite weekend of the year with the entire fraternity all staying in the same luxurious hotel with beautiful dates making incredible memories. Growth in ZBT: My experience in the Iota chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity has shaped my college experience. Even though I am minoring Leadership Studies, this minor would be almost worthless without the hands on experience that the fraternity has offered me. I have honed my leadership skills, my interpersonal skills, as well as my communication skills as President of this great fraternity. I firmly believe I would not be the man I am today without my time in this fraternity. I have learned what it means to work for something larger than myself. I have also learned how it feels to lead a group of 81 men to success. That is an incredible feeling which I will not forget. |

Major(s): Real Estate & Construction Managment Minors(s): Sustainability Hometown: Deefield, Illinois Year: Junior Past Position(s):Athletics Chair Other Activities: Club Gymnastics Favorite part of ZBT: Being a part of something bigger than myself that has shaped who I am and the man I am to be. Growing in ZBT: I started off in ZBT as an incredibly shy kid. My big brother was the President of the chapter of the time and I greatly looked up to him. He saw potential in me and even though I didn't have the guts to take on a role he signed me up to be athletics chair. Through this I learned some basics on organization skills and what it takes to put small events together. I was again approached by several other leaders of the fraternity and was asked to run for secretary. I took on that role for a year and that is where I really started to learn the ins and outs of what makes a fraternity work. I couldn't believe how much responsibility I took on realized I was one on the few members of the fraternity that got congratulated for our successes, but also looked down upon for our failures. After that term I realized just how much more I could have done to help us grow so I ran for Vice President and I have been working hard since I started this term to truly make us a powerhouse of excellence. I came into this fraternity as a shy kid, happy to sit in the back and just be along for the ride. The fraternity has transformed me into someone who can get up in front of the chapter and feel confident in my leadership skills and can voice my opinion on what needs to be done to get us to where we want to be: the best chapter in the nation. |

| Major(s): Statistics Minor(s): Math, Psychology Hometown: Aurora, Colorado Year: Sophomore Past Positions(s): Philanthropy Committee Chairman, Community Service Committee Chair Other Activities: Club Inline Hockey Favorite Part of ZBT: BDD-I joined ZBT because during rush I didn't meet a single person I didn't like. every guy there was someone I would want to hang out with or do something with. BDD events are the best way to spend time with brothers doing things like the ZBT olympics or mini golfing together, things that get us together, competing, having a great time with one another. The brothers make up our fraternity and they are the reason I love being here. Growth in ZBT: During high school I was never much of a leader nor was I involved in many ways at all. But at ZBT, I found a place where I could step up and be a leader, become involved in something more than just school. I began as a vice chair, eventually took over as Philanthropy and Community Service Chair, and now am Treasurer. ZBT makes me want to leave here with more of an impact that my name on an old roster. It makes me want to affect this fraternity in a way for the better and leave a legacy that you can't without ever getting involved. |
